Specialist in Hematology received my PhD degree (summa cum laude) in 1990 for Zaragoza University. Since 1996 is involving in the basic and clinical research in rare diseases as Lysosomal disorders and hematological rare diseases.
Currently is the President of the Spanish Foundation for the Study and Therapy of Gaucher and other Lysosomal Diseases (FEETEG), and coordinates the Spanish Registry of patients and relatives with Gaucher disease.
President of the Spanish Group of Lysosomal Disorders of the SEHH (GEEDL) and member of the task force Gaucher Disease team within the SWG G&CMFS of the EHA and the IWGGD.
She has directed Unit 752 of the Centro de Investigación Biomédica en Red de Enfermedades Raras (CIBERER) and leads the research group of excellence in rare haematological and metabolic diseases at the Instituto de Investigación Sanitaria Aragón (IIS Aragón) in Zaragoza, Spain. She is an ANECA-accredited University Professor and Director of the PhD programme in Health Sciences at the San Jorge University in Zaragoza.
She is a member of the group of experts of the associations of patients affected by LALD, AEEFEG, MPS and other lysosomal diseases.
She has published more than 170 articles on lysosomal storage diseases and rare haematological diseases. Editor of 6 monographs on Gaucher disease (Spanish). Active member of EHA; ASH; SEHH; IWGGD.
Founder and President of Foundation: FEETEG, FEHHA. Founder and Treasurer of Foundation: ZeroLMC Clinical Trials (actives): Currently PI of 20 clinical trials in Gaucher disease, Fabry disease, Myelofibrosis, TPI, CLL, CML, Lymphoma and Chronic myeloprolipherative disorders.
